SMS Opt-In Policy & Verbal Consent Script

Cool Web — coolweb.ai · daniel@coolweb.ai

Cool Web designs and builds websites for small service businesses in the United States. This document records exactly how consent is obtained before any SMS message is sent, including the verbal script read to every recipient.

1. Opt-in method

Verbal consent, collected during a live one-to-one phone call. We do not buy, rent, scrape, or upload phone lists for messaging. A number is only ever messaged after that person has spoken with us, provided their own mobile number, and said "yes" to the script below. The date, time, and number for every consent are logged in our call records.

2. Verbal consent script (read on every call)

Cool Web: "As part of setting up your website project, we can send you text messages about it — the link to your website review meeting, a reminder before it, and follow-ups about your project. That's usually about two to four messages per month. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. You can get help at any time by replying HELP to any of our texts, and you can stop the messages completely by replying STOP. Our SMS terms and privacy statement are on our website at coolweb.ai. Would you like to receive these text messages — yes or no?"

Customer: "Yes."

Cool Web: "Great — what's the best mobile number to use? ... Thank you, I've enrolled that number and you'll get a confirmation text shortly."

Consent is only recorded when the customer answers yes and provides the number themselves. If they say no, the number is never messaged.

Confirmation of enrollment (first message sent)

Cool Web: You're enrolled for text updates about your website project (about 2–4 msgs/month). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

3. What we send

We never send promotional blasts, and we never message anyone who did not personally opt in on a phone call.

Sample message

Hi John, it's Daniel from Cool Web — here's the link for our website review call at 5pm: https://cal.com/coolweb.ai/meeting Reply STOP to opt out.

4. Message frequency

Approximately 2–4 messages per month, only while a meeting or project is active.

5. Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on the recipient's mobile plan.

6. Getting help (HELP)

Replying HELP to any message returns:

Cool Web — website design. Help: daniel@coolweb.ai or coolweb.ai. Reply STOP to opt out.

7. Opting out (STOP)

Every message includes "Reply STOP to opt out." Replying STOP immediately and permanently ends all messages to that number, and returns:

You have been unsubscribed from Cool Web messages. No further messages will be sent.

Recipients may also opt out at any time by emailing daniel@coolweb.ai or by telling us on a call.

8. SMS Terms of Service

By providing verbal consent, the recipient agrees to receive SMS messages from Cool Web relating to their website project, as described above. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any product or service. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Recipients may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP.

9. Privacy statement

Mobile numbers collected for SMS are used solely to communicate with that person about their website project. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or consent data with any third party for marketing purposes. Numbers are stored in our own call and project records and deleted on request by emailing daniel@coolweb.ai.
